These skates are photo-matched to the Oilers' 5-2 victory over the Dallas Stars on November 16, 2016 at American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX in which McDavid scored his first career hat trick.

The skates are also photo-matched to the Oilers' 6-5 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on December 8, 2016 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. McDavid scored one goal with one assist in the game.

After an injury-shortened rookie season, McDavid truly arrived in 2016-17, scoring 30 goals with 70 assists without missing a game and taking home the Hart Memorial and Art Ross Trophies as a 20-year old. Incredibly, it was only a taste of what the Ontario native was capable of, as he racked up 195 goals and 379 assists for 574 points in 407 games before turning 25.His age-25 season was his best to date, as he set new career highs with 44 goals and 79 assists, winning his fourth Art Ross Trophy and showing new levels of individual brilliance with multiple coast-to-coast solo goals.
