During an NHL career that spanned 15 seasons, Amonte played 1,174 games with five teams. He finished with 416 goals and 900 points, including eight seasons with at least 30 goals and 60 points. Amonte finished second place in voting for the Calder Memorial Trophy for the league's Rookie of the Year in 1992 and was selected for the All-Rookie Team that year. Over the course of his career, he was chosen to attend the NHL All-Star Game five times. Representing his country, Amonte won a gold medal with Team USA at the 1997 World Cup, an Olympic silver medal at the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, and was inducted into the United Stated Hockey Hall of Fame in 2010.
