Lemieux was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1997. He is a six-time winner of the Art Ross Trophy, a three-time winner of the Hart Memorial Trophy and a two-time winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy. Lemieux finished his career with 690 goals and 1,033 assists.

Lemieux missed the majority of the 1990-91 and 1993-94 seasons due to back injury. He was also diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma halfway through the 1992 -93 season. Despite that, he managed to return for the 1995-96 season and tally 69 goals and 92 assists. His points per game average is 1.883. Gretzky's is 1.921.

This jersey originated from the collection of former NHL goaltender and Hall of Famer Patrick Roy. A Patrick Roy Collection letter signed by Roy, and a MeiGray LOA will accompany this jersey.
