Ray Bourque wore this black jersey while playing for the Boston Bruins during the 1989-90 National Hockey League season. The jersey exhibits black marks and board burns on the left sleeve, with the right sleeve showing similar wear along with unrepaired holes. The front and back of the jersey also exhibit black marks and the sleeves also show light interior pilling. The "Q" on the back shows wear that is not consistent with NHL game wear. The jersey includes the 1990 Stanley Cup Finals patch sewn in a fashion consistent with other Bruins jerseys from the era, but is not matched to the series due to lack of media. This Maska Air-Knit jersey features a large block CCM and NHL shield embroidered into the back hem, Custom Crafted's logo screened onto the back hem, "52" written in pen on the tag, and the captain's "C." Bourque, the legendary defenseman who won four Norris Trophies in five seasons and five in total, scored five goals with 12 assists and was +11 in 17 1990 Stanley Cup Playoffs games. Bourque scored 410 goals with 1,169 assists for 1,579 points in 1,612 career games over 22 seasons - the most in all three categories among NHL defensemen. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2004. The jersey will include a photocopy of the original MeiGray Letter of Authenticity issued in 2023 as well as a replacement MeiGray Letter of Authenticity.
