New York Rangers forward Marcel Dionne wore this jersey during the 1987-88 NHL season.

This jersey has been video-matched to Dionne scoring his 718th NHL career goal, the goal that enabled him to pass Phil Esposito on the NHL all-time goal scorers list. At the time, Dionne passed Esposito and moved into second place on the all-time list, behind Gordie Howe. Dionne is now fifth all-time among NHL Career Goal Scorers. The goal was scored during a 4-4 tie with the New York Islanders on February 14, 1988 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

This jersey has also been photo-matched to an awards ceremony honoring Dionne for scoring 700 career goals. The photo was taken at Madison Square Garden on February 29, 1988, Marcel Dionne Night, prior to a game against the St. Louis Blues.

The jersey exhibits a team repair, black marks, board burns, and paint transfer. Rust and salt deposits show in the fight strap. This jersey had an autograph perfectly removed from the front left breast, and there is no trace of the autograph on the jersey.

A MeiGray Vintage LOA and a Photo LOA of a video frame grab will accompany this jersey.
