The Los Angeles Kings, one of four NHL franchises preparing to celebrate 50 Years in the NHL next season, are honoring their NHL birth as an organization in 1967 and their inaugural season of 1967-68 season by wearing historic gold and purple Vintage jerseys that replicated their early NHL years.

The Kings showcased this gold Vintage style on three Legends Nights at home, and in Boston on February 9, 2016, to honor the day the Kings were granted their franchise by the NHL 50 years ago.

On one of the Legends Nights, Mike Donnelly Night on Feb. 23, 2016, five Kings _ Jeff Carter, Drew Doughty, Anze Kopitar, Jonathan Quick, and Tyler Toffoli _ wore a new Vintage jersey.

Carter wore this jersey on Feb. 23, 2016, a 2-1 win over the Calgary Flames at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
