Game use equals success … for the Nashville Predators as they seek the first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
The Predators, a MeiGray program team since 2002-03 who have historically carried their Regular Season Set 2 jerseys into the Stanley Cup Playoffs, introduced a new set of road whites and home golds in the 2017 Western Conference Final vs. the Anaheim Ducks.
The Preds began wearing their White Regular Season Set 2 jerseys on January 5, 2017, and wore them through the end of the 2016-17 regular season, in Games 1 and 2 of their first round sweep of the Chicago Blackhawks, and in Games 1, 2 and 5 of their second round triumph over the St. Louis Blues. They began wearing their Gold Regular Season Set 2 jerseys on January 3, 2017, wore them through the end of the 2016-17 NHL regular season, wore them in Games 3 and 4 vs. Chicago, and in Games 3, 4 and 6 vs. St. Louis.
Due to the heavy wear that accumulated on this set over four months, the team did not carry this set into the Western Conference Final, as originally planned.
The Predators are wearing a new set of jerseys in the Western Conference Final. This set will become their Stanley Cup Final Set 1 (with the Stanley Cup Final patch added) if they defeat the Anaheim Ducks in the Western Conference Final.
