THE 2005-06 NHL-MEIGRAY GAME-WORN JERSEY AUTHENTICATION PROGRAM
Welcome to the 2005-06 National Hockey League-MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program. We have instituted some exciting changes for our fourth year; changes we hope will improve the hobby for you, the collector and hockey fan.
First of all, thanks again for your support and patience during the past year. Were excited about the new collective bargaining agreement. We think the new rules and regulations will make the worlds greatest game better than ever.
For the third consecutive year, we are proud to represent 22 NHL teams: Anaheim, Atlanta, Boston, Buffalo, Calgary, Colorado, Dallas, Edmonton, Florida, Los Angeles, Montreal, Nashville, New Jersey, NY Islanders, NY Rangers, Ottawa, Philadelphia, St. Louis, the defending Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning, Toronto, Vancouver and Washington.
We have eliminated one set of jerseys, the set that previously had been worn exclusively during the preseason. Teams in 2005-06 will wear three sets of home and road jerseys, and two sets of Third jerseys (where applicable). As in past seasons, certain players may have two jerseys per set.
Set 1 = These sets of home and road jerseys will be worn from the first pre-season game through approximately December 1.
Set 2 = These sets of home and road jerseys will be worn from approximately Dec. 1 through the Feb. 13-27 Olympic Break.
Set 3 = These sets of home and road jerseys will be worn from approximately Feb. 28 through each clubs final game (regular season or playoffs).
Third Set 1 = These sets of Third jerseys will be worn during the first half of each teams Third Jersey Schedule of approximately 12-15 games.
Third Set 2 = These sets of Third jerseys will be worn during the second half of each teams Third Jersey Schedule of approximately 12-15 games.
Sixth Annual Hockey Hall of Fame Game: Tampa Bay at Toronto, Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005. Both teams will be wearing new sets of jerseys with the 6th Annual Hall of Fame Game patch.
Stanley Cup Finals: As in past seasons, any program club that reaches the Stanley Cup Finals will wear two new sets of home and road jerseys, affixed with the Stanley Cup Finals patch. Set 1 Finals (home and road) will be worn until one team reaches three victories in the series. At that point, both teams will wear Set 2 Finals (home and road, if necessary). The Set 2 Finals jerseys (home and road) remain property of the teams.
New for 2005-06:
Nashville will be wearing a new shoulder patch on its home and road jerseys.
NY Rangers will be using curved nameplates to secure their players names to the backs of their jerseys. They previously had sewn their letters directly onto the backs of their regular-season jerseys.
Vancouver will be wearing Airknit jerseys at home and on the road, replacing their Ultrafil style.
Calgary will wear a patch commemorating their 25th season on all jerseys worn in the regular season and Stanley Cup Playoffs (if applicable).
Colorado will wear a patch commemorating their 10th season on all jerseys worn in the regular season and Stanley Cup Playoffs (if applicable).
All 2005-06 jerseys will be branded with the Reebok logo and new NHL shield.
