McDavid won his second consecutive Art Ross Trophy in 2017-18, setting a new career high in goals (41) and adding 67 assists for a total of 108 points, raising the bar even higher after his dominant 2016-17 season.

At 19 years and 266 days old, the Oilers entrusted their leadership to the Richmond Hill, Ontario, native whom they selected first overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. He became the youngest captain in National Hockey League history on October 5, 2016.
