Bahl was wearing this jersey when he engaged in his first fight at the NHL level on December 28, 2022 against the Boston Bruins at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The fight began when Bruins forward Trent Frederic shoved Bahl into the boards and gave him a slash well after a simple offside whistle. Although officials quickly approached, the pair had already removed their gloves and they were allowed to commence the fight. Bahl and Frederic mainly kept their grip on each others’ jerseys, each daring a few quick shots to the head, before things loosened up and they began taking bigger swings. Frederic landed a few glancing blows up high while Bahl managed to avoid the worst of the punishment and fought back with a solid uppercut to the midsection before the officials called it. Both players received five for fighting.
